Update to our COVID-19 policyholder processes 60 day free look period In a continuing effort to aid policyholders NGL is extending the end date of the 60 day free look period from July 1, 2020 to September 1, 2020. This means policies that issued between April 22, 2020 through September 1, 2020 will be eligible for the extended free look time frame of 60 days instead of the contractual 30 days. 120 day Grace Period NGL will continue to offer the extended 120 day grace period for policyholders as long as the pandemic continues. Prior to returning to their normal grace period of 60 days, NGL will determine and communicate a process that keeps policyholders financial interest in mind. PPE reimbursement protects members and supports dentists COVID-19 requires that dentists take extra precautions to protect both themselves and their patients. These added steps can add to the cost of a dental visit. To protect the health of members while minimizing unexpected fees, Anthem is paying dentists an extra reimbursement from June 15 through August 31, 2020. Anthem will pay $10 per dental patient, per visit, on dental PPO network claims for personal protective equipment (PPE). Supporting the dentists in their networks can help preserve employee access to providers in their plans. Anthem will send all self-funded clients an email explaining that they’ll automatically be included for PPE reimbursement unless they opt-out by July 3. COVID-19 Agent Communication – Member Letter An Agent-to-Member communication for use during the COVID-19 Pandemic is now available on the Marketing Resource Center (MRC). In addition to reminding the Member their Agent is an available resource, the letter announces that Humana will be: Eliminating out-of-pocket-costs—including copays, coinsurance and deductibles Distributing face masks And, that Humana provides a mail order pharmacy option You may customize the letter within the MRC and have it sent directly to your book of business via U.S. mail at no cost to you. UPMC Health Plan extends inpatient, in-network COVID-19 care UPMC Health Plan is committed to providing affordable access to the care that members need. While most of Pennsylvania is moving into the Green Phase, UPMC understands that the challenges associated with COVID-19 will remain for some time even after the risk of widespread infection in communities has been reduced. Through September 30, 2020, UPMC will continue to remove cost barriers that could otherwise impose a hardship on members who may need COVID-19 treatment and testing. In addition to extending no cost-sharing telehealth coverage through September 30, 2020, cost sharing will also be waived for inpatient, in-network COVID-19 treatment through that date. Employers with self-insured plans may opt out of this coverage enhancement. On July 1, visit AetnaMedicareProducerCertification.com to get started. The certification process includes AHIP and only costs $125– that’s a $50 savings off of the AHIP retail price. Certify for 2021 Aetna MA/MAPD and SilverScript PDP in the same portal New for 2021, you’ll get to certify for both Aetna MA/MAPD and SilverScript PDP in the same portal.
