Bernie Sanders ahead of the Democratic National Convention, which is slated for next month. The task forces formed once rival Sen. Bernie Sanders dropped out of the race, with the goal of enticing his followers into supporting the Biden campaign. Premium credit will be issued to some groups by paper check Last month Anthem sent a message to employer groups telling them they would receive a premium credit in response to disruptions in care caused by COVID-19. They will still receive that credit, but some employers will receive a paper check instead of a bill credit on their July invoice. Anthem will mail those checks on July 10, 2020. They’ll contact affected employers directly to inform them of the change. If you have questions, please contact your Anthem representative.

Covered California extends Individual SEP through July 31 Covered California is extending the current Individual Special Enrollment Period (SEP) to July 31, 2020, giving California residents more time to sign up for health-care plans. This extension offers a pathway to benefits for those who need health insurance due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Important points: Financial assistance is available through Covered California for eligible consumers. More financial help is available this year through state subsidies for low- and middle-income residents. Benefits start the first of the month after sign-up. Those losing job-based health insurance could avoid a gap in benefits. This SEP includes on- and off-exchange plans. Residents can enroll with Covered California, or with health insurance carriers in the off-exchange market through July 31, 2020.
