Important Updates on Humana’s COVID-19 Guidelines
Early indications suggest that physical distancing is working. As anticipated, many communities have begun to re-open businesses and lift restrictions. With these ever-changing norms, it’s understandable that many have questions about Humana’s plans.
Humana is performing their own analysis of the markets while closely following current CDC guidelines, and wants to reiterate that all of Humana’s policies, including those updated for COVID-19, are still in place.
Agent of Record Protection Pledge
Humana is back with a refresher, and The Pledge is just that big!
Under the Agent of Record Protection pledge, your AOR status – and corresponding renewal commissions – will be retained when existing Humana members make like-to-like-plan changes via CMS.gov, Humanamedicare.com or with help from a Humana telesales agent.
Preparation for AHIP Exam
Each year, agents are required to complete AHIP training to meet Humana certification requirements. Humana MarketPoint supports the AHIP exam process and believes that it prepares our agents for a successful AEP, assuring agents are well informed and knowledgeable when assisting and guiding beneficiaries.

SEP Disaster Notice
CMS provides a Special Enrollment Period (SEP) for individuals affected by severe weather who need to enroll in, disenroll from or switch Medicare health or prescription drug plans and have missed another enrollment period (i.e., either aging in or a SEP) due to the weather event.
