New Text Message Pilot
In an effort to reduce inbound calls regarding enrollment status questions, Humana is piloting a one-time text message to some members advising that they have received their application. The text will read as follows: “Thank you for choosing Humana. We have received your application. We will notify you within the next 7 – 14 calendar days of any changes in your enrollment status. Reply STOP to end, HELP for help. “
The pilot will run from June 1, 2020 through August 7, 2020, with a target of reaching approximately 7,500 members weekly.
Humana’s Human Care Approach
Humana is waiving Medicare Advantage out-of-pocket costs – copays, coinsurance and deductibles – for primary care, behavioral health (on an outpatient, non-facility basis) and telehealth visits with participating/in-network providers through the end of 2020.
SEP Disaster Notice
CMS provides a Special Enrollment Period (SEP) for individuals affected by severe weather who need to enroll in, disenroll from or switch Medicare health or prescription drug plans and have missed another enrollment period (i.e., either aging in or a SEP) due to the weather event.
