AEP is right around the corner Get ahead of the game with these tips
It’s never too soon to begin planning and preparing for AEP! As of today, there are only 127 days until the peak Medicare Advantage selling season begins. Cigna wants to support your success, so they’ve compiled a few things you can do today to be ready to sell in October.
•Be sure your address is up to date with Cigna’s contracting department. Verify your current address on file with them on our CignaforBrokers portal.
•Review your customer list and plan for renewals. Log in to SalesForce
•Pay special attention to any life changes that may change your customer’s needs. A move, change in marital status, a diagnosis of a chronic health condition – all can impact the plan that best fits your customers’ needs. Check in to see if a better option may be available for 2022.
•Plan for lead generation by updating prospect lists, developing advertising, and direct marketing programs. Familiarize yourself with Cigna’s CustomPoint portal for marketing collaterals like flyers, mailers and signage. While they can’t wait to show you what they’re planning for 2022 and will have materials for AEP loaded as soon as they can, you can learn how to use the site and determine the types of materials that will best align with your marketing strategies for AEP.
And while you’re preparing for AEP 2021, don’t forget to build in time to get certified to sell for 2022! Cigna will release our certification by July 1, so stay tuned to learn more over the next few weeks!
