Lou Gianquinto named Commercial Business president for Anthem’s Connecticut plan Lou Gianquinto will begin his tenure as Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield’s Connecticut commercial business president as of today, Monday, November 30, 2020. He’ll lead the local business and build a strategy focused on growth. Lou is a Connecticut native and healthcare veteran, with more than 25 years of industry experience. Most recently, Gianquinto was president of Missouri Care, Anthem’s Medicaid business in Missouri. Sam’s Club Pharmacy to Continue Participating in Express Scripts National Network This communication was sent to all commercial group accounts Express Scripts has notified UPMC Health Plan that ESI and Sam’s Club have come to an agreement. As a result, Sam’s Club will continue as a participating pharmacy in the Express Scripts National network used to support UPMC Health Plan’s Commercial, TPA and Medicaid networks. This includes the new Commercial Preferred Value Network as a preferred pharmacy. Additionally, Sam’s Club will continue their participation in the UPMC for Life network for their Medicare and SNP plans as a preferred pharmacy. This was not a part of the original termination. While November 24, 2020 was the original termination date, claims for Sam’s Club are processing as a participating pharmacy.
