Starting July 14, Aetna is moving to just-in-time appointment for MA/MAPD and PDP producers in 36 states. Through the just-in-time appointment process, they will wait to request appointment for agents until they submit their first enrollment application to us (i.e., “just in time”). Aetna is making this change in all states where permitted by state law: AK, AR, CA, CT, DC, DE, FL, GA, HI, IA, ID, KS, MA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, MS, NC, ND, NE, NH, NJ, NM, NV, NY, OK, SC, SD, TN, TX, VA, WV and WY. The change will be invisible for agents and will not affect their contracting or certification experience. For the remaining 14 states, the appointment process is not changing.
