IMPORTANT NOTICE: Preparing for Agency Hierarchy Structure
This month Anthem is adding system capabilities that will enable them to store and maintain Agency Hierarchies as part of their onboarding process. Many of you have requested this in the past and Anthem is pleased to be able to offer this as an option that will impact your business in 2022.
Phase 1 of this work is complete. Phase 1 required building their system structure to provide the functionality. Phase 2 begins with gathering information from you, in order to build the hierarchy structure specific for your agency. Anthem will be reaching out to you in the coming weeks to share how this enhancement will benefit you in 2022 and to gather information necessary to establish your agency hierarchy, should you choose to participate.
The new hierarchy structure will provide you with visibility into your downline agencies from an onboarding perspective. You will also have the flexibility to tell Anthem what portion of your override you want paid to which agency.
Once your initial agency hierarchy is established, this information is captured through the agent onboarding process for new agents. For existing agents, Anthem will work directly with your team to identify the appropriate set up for each agent to align with their immediate up-line agency.
Beginning June 12, you will see a new field added to the Agency Onboarding Process impacting the agency appointment initiation process. Click here to view or print a copy of the revised appointment process. Please provide this information to the individual(s) in your agency who is/are responsible for the new agent onboarding process prior to June 11 so they are aware of the change. Again, this Phase 1 rollout allows you to designate hierarchies for your new agents. Anthem will hold this information and “turn it on” for January 1, 2022 sales.
